Maitri 2.0, Galerie Geek Art’s showcase at Art Mumbai 2024, reflects the profound bonds that connect us—to each other and to the shared world we inhabit. Rooted in ancient wisdom and reimagined for contemporary complexities, the exhibition bridges historical insight with modern sensibilities to explore the enduring idea of connection.

Featuring works by Japanese artists Shun Sudo, Kenji Yanobe, Tomiyuki Kaneko, Yusuke Asai, Mari Ito, Goma, and Yuka Numata, alongside Indian artists Tarini Sethi and Sajid Wajid Shaikh, Maitri 2.0 unfolds as a visual mosaic of human experience across cultures.

Paradoxes give rise to new possibilities, and contradictions evolve into dialogues that are both intimate and expansive. The exhibition invites viewers to reflect on their own maitri—their relationships, emotions, and place in the world—through evocative artistic expressions. It envisions a world of interconnected truths, emphasizing the layered realities of our multifaceted lives through the lens of contemporary art.
