Introduction
The Japanese Film Festival (JFF), an initiative by the Japan Foundation, is a landmark annual event that celebrates the vibrancy of Japanese cinema across India. From anime enthusiasts to cinephiles, JFF attracts a growing and dedicated audience in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, and beyond. As the official creative partner since 2023, Geek Pictures India has played a key role in shaping the festival’s evolving identity.
Overview
Across both 2023 and 2024, we developed the festival’s creative direction—from establishing its visual language and city-specific adaptations to producing the festival trailer, designing print and digital collaterals including posters, standees, banners. Our assets were showcased in partnership with PVR INOX across for this annual celebration of Japanese storytelling. Each campaign drew on the thematic diversity of the curated films, celebrating genre, culture, and audience engagement.
With the festival’s growing digital footprint, our creative work also extended to JFF Online—crafting tailored content for social platforms and international audiences. As the festival embraces hybrid and global formats, our approach continues to evolve with it, merging cinematic flair with broader accessibility and cultural connection.
